Guidance

Ms. Jordana Spitz

Guidance Counselor (K–2)

Room 270

Jordana Spitz has been a guidance counselor at Florida Ruffin Ridley School since 2008. Prior to this role, she was an elementary school teacher in New York City. She earned both of her master’s degrees from Hunter College and feels at home in the diverse community of FRR.

Ms. Spitz enjoys working with younger students and incorporates mindfulness techniques, yoga, and literature into her work. Her favorite days at FRR include time spent in classrooms and connecting with students during recess.

“I am happiest when I get to spend quality time with the kids. Their excitement and enthusiasm remind me why I chose to be a guidance counselor.”
